About the event

An executor is the person appointed in a will to carry out the deceased person’s wishes. Their role is to manage the estate by:

  • Collecting and protecting assets

  • Paying debts and taxes

  • Handling legal paperwork

  • Distributing remaining assets to beneficiaries

In short, the executor makes sure everything in the will is done properly and according to the law.
