Cheese making

This time we are making Caerphilly. Learn to make simple cheese during this 5 hour Cheese Making course. Great introduction into the wonderful world of cheese making. Milk and other ingredients supplied. Recipes and instructions provided for you to use at home.

BARISTA BASICS

Have qualified baristas teach you how to select the right coffee, choose the right grind and texturize the milk to produce the perfect coffee.

Gain confidence in using a coffee machine and knowledge of coffee history and coffee styles.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

For a qualification that can really take you places, you can't go past this course which is the industry requirement for anyone involved in the service of alcohol. It will help you develop the skills and knowledge required for the Responsible Service of Alcohol under state legislation. Any person involved with the service of alcohol, be it staff or volunteer, requires this qualification and improved your chances of finding employment in the hospitality sector.

Safe Food Handling

SITXFSA001 USE HYGIENIC PRACTICES FOR FOOD SAFETY

This Nationally Accredited course is appropriate for all food handlers within the hospitality and retail industries, and can be any person who either directly or indirectly handles food such as kitchen staff, bar and food and beverage attendants, customer service attendants and front of house personnel. It is also appropriate for anyone handling food at public venue. It provides food handlers with the skills and knowledge required to keep food safe in the workplace and includes hands-on food preparation in a simulated commercial kitchen environment. Fee includes course materials.

This unit is part of SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality and a statement of attainment will be issued by The Centre.

Become a food safety supervisor 

Make your way up the hospitality ladder and increase your knowledge of the industry with this Food Safety Supervisor's course. Developed to assist management with the knowledge and skills in designing a food safety program, you'll learn how to implement a food safety plan to be followed up in the workplace (legal requirement for all registered food premises).

 

Requirements:

You must be employed and have completed the SITXFSA001 Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety course to complete this Food Safety Supervisor course.

Up to 2 workplace visits are required.

This unit is part of SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality and a statement of attainment will be issued by The Centre. RTO TOID 4172

 

Certificate III in Hospitality

This entry-level qualification is provided through traineeships so that learners can develop current skills and knowledge within their workplace.

SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality is designed to meet the skills needs of a range of hospitality venues including cafes, bars and pubs, hotels, restaurants, accommodation providers and motels.

SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality is ideal for small business operations as graduates gain skills relating to all functions occurring in a hospitality business. Trainees can elect to specialise in areas such as accommodation services, food and beverage, tourism or gaming.

The course is offered as on the job - Traineeship, you must be employed as part of a traineeship.
