Build foundation skills with your computer

This is a FREE course for total beginners

The kiosk features two computers, Windows 7 and our new Windows 8 system with broadband access for use especially by older members of our local community. We also provide basic traing so beginners are very welcome.

This service is run by volunteers and you have a personal tutor to guide you through the program. Come and see us and we can help!

Skills Set

Design your own Skill Set

To match your needs from basic computer skills to bringing your finances back on track through this Covid-19 time. Maybe you need an employment change or to conect with family and friends through platforms such as Zoom. Maybe you want to learn photoshop but not Excel spreadsheets.

Match your course options from Basic, Photo Editing or Web Design. This is for 30 hours over time that suites you within our framework.

Basic Computer

Skills

 

Discover new skills which will enable you to use a computer to comunicate, solve problems, reasearch and organise information. Learn about the basic parts of a compterand its operating system to perform tasks, access the internet,

research topics and create an email address.

Includes USB to save your work.

Time: 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Cost: $70 ACFE subsidised (Full Fee: $240)

Preparing those who have been out of the workforce for long periods for re-entry using the latest software; including, using files and folders, introduction to Windows Operation System, Microsoft Suite, Gmail, Google drive and pathway to certificate II in IT and or employment in Digital imaging and web designing. You can also tailored-make your computer course - only learn what you need. Includes USB to save your work.

Intermediate Computer

Skills

 

In this module, we will show you how to create

letters/resumes, cards, labels and flyers to add visual elements to 

your word documents. (WORD)

Learn how to create a spread sheet, how to record all sorts

of data like addresses, financial data of bussinesses,

basic income  income and expences. (Excel)

Develop presentations on any subject or project.

You can use multimedia to present events and activities

to a large group of people with animations and music.

Great for business or creating flyers & posters. (Publisher)

You may need this knowledge for your professional development in your workplace, it is the way of the future for all of us. 

Can you operate your iPad or Tablets? If not, we can help!

 

Discover the world of the iCloud and learn how to upload photos and data. Do you want to know how to apply applications (apps) to your device? What else would you like to know about your electronic mobile device? Register for this course and link up with the world or maybe just your friends to start with! Over 4 sessions.
