Without volunteers, Mt Beauty Neighbourhood Centre just could not function.
Volunteers work both in and outside the building. Inside they manage the front desk, and help to provide office services, organise courses, and prepare promotional materials. Outside they build, paint, mow, garden and generally keep the place looking great. Some volunteers have specialist skills to help the Centre, others learn new information each time they assist.
So what’s in it for the volunteers? What makes them willingly give their time and energy to make the Centre run?
Of course everyone is different, but here are some of the reasons! |
